Health & Safety Week Excitement

Submitted by krista.openshaw on

A couple of weeks ago, Goshen PTA put together our Health & Safety Week, which included a culminating event filled with fire trucks, helicopters and dizzy goggles. The PTA, along with the Utah County Sheriff's office put together a first responders event where our students were able to visit with different first responders and learn about their jobs. We had Utah County S.W.A.T with their armored truck, the Sheriff's Motorcycle team, the Utah County K-9 officers and their handlers, along with Goshen and Genola fire departments and the Wildfire team with their firetrucks.

Thank You PTA!!!

Goshen has had a great year. We have enjoyed so many fun activities that have brought us closer together as a community and family. We want to highlight our amazing PTA and their contributions to our school. At the beginning of the year, we made phone calls to invite parents to be a part of our PTA committee, and those parents really stepped up. We have had one of the most successful PTAs ever this year. Parents did all kinds of amazing things. They provided dinner for teachers during Parent-Teacher Conferences and During Teacher Appreciation Week. They decorated teacher doors.

Come help us celebrate the retirement of Mrs. Marie Mitchell, our wonderful Kindergarten teacher and Mrs. Brenda Burgess, a member of our awesome custodial staff. We will be having an open house in their honor on Thursday May 19th from 3:30-5:00 here at the school. Please help spread the word so we can show these ladies how much they are loved and appreciated!
