March 2nd is Read Across America Day, and in celebration, Mr. Atkin read one of his favorite books for the kids to watch. Please watch how a cat sits in a chair...
In second grade we read the story "Gloria Who Might Be My Best Friend." In the story Gloria and Julian build kites with wishes attached to the tail of the kite. Mrs. Larson's students had a great time making and flying their own kites with wishes included!
For the past couple of weeks the 2nd graders have been learning about producers and consumers in Social Studies. They had the opportunity to make their own city and build a paper bag building that sold a good or service. We had police stations, banks, army bases, 5 below, Costco, Pizza Hut and much more in our city of "Rocky Valley."
