A couple of weeks ago, Goshen PTA put together our Health & Safety Week, which included a culminating event filled with fire trucks, helicopters and dizzy goggles. The PTA, along with the Utah County Sheriff's office put together a first responders event where our students were able to visit with different first responders and learn about their jobs. We had Utah County S.W.A.T with their armored truck, the Sheriff's Motorcycle team, the Utah County K-9 officers and their handlers, along with Goshen and Genola fire departments and the Wildfire team with their firetrucks. We also had an important seat belt demonstration by Utah Highway Patrol, the kids were able to board Utah County Sheriff's mobile command center and ride trikes while wearing dizzy goggles. One of the most exciting parts was watching the Life Flight helicopter land and take off on our back field. This was definitely an activity that the kids will remember!
