Mr. Carter, Goshen's head custodian, and Mrs. Castro, one of Goshen's 1st Grade teachers were chosen this month for showing compassion and kindness. Some of their fellow staff members had the following to say about them:

The Ambassadors of the Month for December were chosen for their compassion and kindness. Thanks for being such great examples to your classmates!

To get our students excited about Chemistry, the chemistry class from Payson High School came and showed the 5th and 6th graders some fun experiments. They made and explained slime, showed the kids how glow sticks work and even had an experiment timed to music. Thanks for coming Payson High!

Goshen's 5th grade classes were visited by a scientist with Reaction Time this month. They were able to learn about Physical and Chemical Changes and enjoyed doing some hands on experiments. Thanks to Discovery Gateway for funding the Reaction Time program and bringing fun and exciting science out to Goshen!

We will be celebrating the holidays with a Spirit Week this week. Here are the following Spirit Days:

Monday: Christmas/Crazy Socks
Tuesday: Ugly Christmas Sweaters/T-shirts
Wednesday: Christmas Hat
Thursday: Christmas Pajamas/Sweats
Friday: Wear Red or Green

There will be no school Wednesday November 27-Friday November, 29 for Thanksgiving Break! Have a fun and safe holiday! 

Mrs. Larsen, one of our 2nd grade teachers, was chosen for being kind. Some of the comments from her fellow co-workers were:

• Mrs. Larsen is kind to everyone, always.
• She always finds a way to make everyone valued and included.
• She treats her students with fairness and listens carefully to their questions and thoughts.
• Mrs. Larsen is an asset to our school.

This month's Ambassadors were picked for showing good Sportsmanship and Fairness. This included being kind on the playground and to those around them. Good job kids, and keep up the good work!

The students of Goshen School were treated to a fun assembly full of comedy, magic and music on Monday. The assembly featured YouTube celebrity Stuart Wise and music group Foriegn Figure. They talked about how important it is to be kind, and the ripple effect it can have. Everyone had a great time!

This year the 2nd and 6th grade classes performed their annual Veteran's Day Program for the school and again in the evening for family, friends and local Veterans. They did a wonderful job!
