We want to congratulate Mrs. DeGraffenried on her decision to retire at the end of the school year. We know it was a hard choice for her to make, but she is looking forward to spending some much deserved time with her family, and more specifically, her grandchildren. We are all going to miss her, but we're so happy that she gets to have free time to do the things she wants to do. 

Mrs. DeGraffenried has said the following about her decision to retire:

With Mrs. DeGraffenried retiring at the end of the year, we want to welcome and introduce our new principal, Mr. Ben Atkin.

Mr. Atkin received his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and a master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University.

Currently Mr. Atkin serves as a Title I Coordinator at Park View Elementary. He has been there for the past three years. He started his career teaching third and fourth grades at Spring Lake Elementary for thirteen years.

If you have a child that will be 4 years old on or before September 1st, 2021, and would like to have them screened for the district's Title 1 preschool for the 2021-2022 school year, screening appointments will be held on April 19th, 2021 at Taylor Elementary in Payson. This month our Ambassadors were picked for showing Pride & Perseverance. They always try their hardest and is proud of their work. Great job kids! Thanks for being great examples to your classmates.
