Veteran's Day Program

Submitted by l.degraffenried on

This evening our second and sixth graders presented their annual Veteran's Day Program.  Through song they honored our veterans past and those serving currently.

The evening was extra-special when Sergeant First Class Eric Cassity surprised his family.  He has been stationed in South Korea for the past year.  He was to return home on November 20th.  The army gave him special permission to return home early and surprise his family tonight.

We had a great Halloween Parade! We enjoyed seeing all of the costumes.  A special thank you to the parents that helped with classroom parties.  We couldn't have done it without you!

Walk to School Day!

Submitted by courtney.adams on

Our students, staff, and community participated in the National Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 10. We were fortunate enough to have many volunteers to help our students safely walk to school. Our crossing guard, Mrs. Brailsford, had many helpers including: Mrs. DeGraffenried, Mr. Carter, Mayor Staheli, Officer , Spirit the Falcon, many teachers, and our wonderful PTA. Our bus students were extra excited to be dropped off down the street and walk to school! We love our Goshen community!

Remodel Celebration!

Submitted by courtney.adams on

Last month we celebrated the wonderful remodel of our school. The old school bell was put into a display case for everyone to enjoy. Mayor Staheli rang the bell for the last time that night. We had many present and previous students of Goshen Elementary in attendance. Marcella Staheli shared memories from her days spent at Goshen Elementary. We love our school! We appreciate everyone's patience during the remodel and support during the celebration!

Second Grade Egg Drop

Our second graders created the perfect container for their raw eggs.  Then the containers were dropped from 15 feet.  Students anxiously watched as each egg dropped.  If the egg broke then those students did the Chicken Dance with Mrs. Larson!
