Goshen Welcomes McKenzie Wagner

Submitted by krista.openshaw on Tue, 01/26/2016 - 20:42

We have a great opportunity to be visited by a local teenage author, McKenzie Wagner.  She is only 15 years old and already has 4 published novels.  She will be visiting our school on Friday (Jan. 29) and will be visiting with our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade sudents about herself and her writing.  We are so excited to meet her and hear about her successes.  Each teacher has copies of her books if you or your student would like to read them.

Congratulations Mrs. Openshaw!

A huge congratulations goes out to Mrs. Openshaw.  She submitted a grant to the Nebo Foundation for new books for our Spanish students and received $228 to go towards novels in Spanish for our older kids.  Thank you Mrs. Openshaw for caring for Goshen students!

Thursday is the last day of Term 2!!  It's crazy to think the year is already half over.  Because it's the end of the term, there will be no school on Friday.  There will also be no school on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  Have a fun and LONG weekend!
