December 2015
Christmas Program
Goshen's annual Christmas Program will be a sing-along this year. Each grade has chosen a song to sing, and then the entire school will join in singing during the finale. Parents are invited to join us Friday at 2:30 in the gym for some fun singing to bring in the Christmas holiday.
Coding Classes
The school district is offering some computer coding classes for students in the 4-6 grades starting in January. If your child is interested in computers, these would be fun classes for them to take. The class will not be offered here, but there is a class at Wilson School in Payson if you're interested. The cost for the beginners class will be $19 and will be held every Wednesday for 4 weeks and the cost for an Intermediate class will be $39 and will be held every Wednesday for 10 weeks.
Christmas Spirit Week
Our wonderful Student Council has a fun Christmas week planned for Goshen School! Among some fun activities, they have set up dress up days for each day of the week to show Goshen School's Christmas spirit. Here is a list of each spirit day dress up theme:
Monday: Grinch/Whoville day. Dress up as your favorite character from the Movie.
Tuesday : Christmas hat day
Wednesday: Christmas shirt/sweater day
Thursday: Santa /Elf day: dress up as Santa or an elf.
Friday: Red/Green day
Goshen's Penny Wars have been extended!
Because of the awesome support of our students and faculty, we have decided to extend penny wars until Wednesday. Keep bringing in those coins!
Penny Wars
Don't forget about Penny Wars going on this week! Any pennies put in each grades bucket counts towards the grade's total, and any silver/bills put into their bucket goes AGAINST their total. So far the faculty is winning!!! Penny wars will be going on through Friday. This is a great time to get rid of those pesky pennies that weigh your pockets and purse down. All proceeds will go towards helping a family in need in our area.
November's Students of the Month
Congratulations to November's Students of the Month! Their teachers chose them to represent their classes for demonstrating Fairness to everyone. Thanks kids! Keep up the good work!
