Mrs. Cami Barber Recognized as Goshen's Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Cami Barber was recognized last week at the Nebo School District's Board Meeting as Goshen's Teacher of the Year. She was among many great teachers throughout the district that was presented to the school board for the great things they do in their classrooms. Each teacher was presented with a plaque honoring their award. We just want tell Mrs. Barber congratulations on her much deserved award!

Ms. Adams' Class Builds Boats

Ms. Adams' Kindergarten class just finished talking about Christopher Columbus and the Pilgrims coming to America on different boats. They decided to build our own boats to see if they would make it to America! They tested our boats with little passengers and almost all of the boats made it! Good job boatmakers!

2024-2025 Registration Open Soon

It's almost time to register students for the 2024-2025 school year. The registration portal on nebo.edu will open for all returning Nebo students, and ALL Kindergarteners on Monday, April 8th. If your student will be new to Nebo School District next year, you will be able to begin registration on Monday, April 22nd.

Preschool Registration Open

Preschool Enrollment is now open for Goshen and surrounding areas. Screenings will be held on April 8th and 15th. Call Goshen Elementary to schedule an appointment with your child at 801-667-3361. AM and PM classes will be held Tuesday through Friday for students who are 4 years old or will be 4 by September 1st. Call with any questions! 

 

2nd Annual Goshen Elementary Arts Festival

This year's arts festival was a huge success! There were so many great pieces of art created, that the judges had a hard time picking winners. A huge thanks goes out to our PTA for helping with the festival, along with the students for creating their art and for the parents that supported their childrens' artistic talents. Each of the winners for every grade won some great prizes including lots of fun art supplies.  The Grand Prize Winner will have their art featured at the District Office for the coming year. Congrats to all of our winners!

A huge congratulations goes out to Mrs. Cami Barber for being picked as this year's Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Barber started off her teaching career here at Goshen Elementary as a student teacher for Mrs. Norton. She was hired the next year and has been teaching 3rd grade for 9 years. She is a dedicated teacher and cares for each one of her students. She has a knack for seeing each of their potential, no matter who they are, and encouraging her students to reach that potential. 2nd Annual Goshen Elementary Arts Festival

It is time again for our Art Festival. Our theme is "What Makes Me Happy".  We will be accepting entries up until the end of the day, February 9th. Students can only enter one time. All of the art must be no thicker than a standard painting canvas. We will be accepting any artwork created by the student. Be sure to read the rules on the entry form, which can be picked up in the office. Remember to write your name on the back of your artwork so the judging is anonymous.

Mrs. Abby Haines Receives the Crystal Apple Award

This year, the recipient of the Crystal Apple Award was awarded to Mrs. Abby Haines, 5th grade teacher here at Goshen Elementary. The Crystal Apple is awarded every year to an outstanding teacher in our school. Mrs. Haines was nominated and voted for by her fellow teachers for the wonderful things she does for our school and in her classroom. Congratulations, Mrs. Haines! You definitely deserve this award!
