Third Grade Visits Fowers' Fruit Ranch

We went on our annual Apple Crunch field trip today at Fower's Fruit Ranch. We learned all about the different bugs and how spiders are helpful in an Orchard. We learned about how they keep the trees healthy and how they identify trees that are sick. We were able to see the processing plant and how it works, from apples just leaving the tree to being boxed up or bagged to sell. Then we were treated to a story about apple orchards and we learned the importance of keeping the land healthy.

Then Fowers treated us to a small farmer's market where we were each able to "purchase" 3 apples with a token
