The Sky's the Limit in Mrs. Barber's Class

Mrs. Barber read the book Cordelia by Michelle Nelson-Schmidt.  It's about a little girl named Cordelia that can fly until she begins to listen to the negative thoughts of others around her, and they begin to bring her down.  She then realizes that she doesn't have to listen to them.  Once she decides this important lesson, she knows no bounds.  

After reading the story, the class did an art project using crayons and watercolors.  The students drew their name in the clouds and colored the sky blue.
