Parent Help Needed

Dear Parents:

I need your help with two issues at Goshen Elementary:

  1. We are having problems with vandalism in our upper and lower grade bathrooms. Although we have Bathroom Monitors, the problem has not been solved. Yesterday afternoon the district installed security camera’s in our hallways so that we can monitor who goes in and out of the bathrooms and hopefully pinpoint who is involved in the vandalism.
  2. Theft is becoming a daily occurrence at school. During the book fair last week we had several books and toys stolen. Money has been taken from backpacks and jackets. Food has been stolen. Students have had personal items stolen from them. We are also using the camera’s to help with this issue.

I am very saddened by the vandalism and thefts. I am working closely with our faculty and staff in resolving these issues. Students caught participating in these activities will be issued a ticket, restitution sought and may be suspended from school (Nebo School District Policy).

I appreciate your help in encouraging your children to respect school property. Goshen Elementary is a great school. Working together we can keep it that way.

Thank you,

Mrs. DeGraffenried
