February's Ambassadors of the Month!
This month our theme was BEING OPTIMISTIC. These students stood out in each class for having a positive attitude and working hard. Their optimism will take them far in life! Thanks for SOAR-ing!
We are selling COOKIE DOUGH, POPCORN, SOUP MIXES, EDIBLE/SCOOPABLE COOKIE DOUGH AND MORE to earn money for our school. Students will be bringing home the AMERICA'S FAVORITE TREATS brochure to share with your family, friends and co-workers.
When students return their packet with completed order forms they will be able to choose a SUPER HERO Collectibles as a Thank You. (Students that return their packet without orders will also receive a Super Hero collectible after the fund raiser ends.)

Today was the kick off for our Health and Safety Week! Most of our students and faculty showed up in RED! We also had a visit from the firefighters of Goshen! They talked with the students about fire safety, what to do if there is a fire, and their special gear. Firefighter Cindy also talked about how kids don't need to be afraid of the firefighters when they are in their big gear, they are our best friends and are there to help. It was an awesome presentation! We are lucky to have awesome community members that are involved and support our students' safety.
Our final SEP conferences will be head this THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 28 from 3:30-9:30pm. Please sign up to visit with your student’s teacher to hear what great things are happening at Goshen Elementary!
February 25-March 1 will be our health and safety week! Our PTA has worked hard planning an exciting, and informational, week. We are excited to talk and learn more about how to be safe and stay healthy.

Our awesome librarian, Mrs. Staheli, helped open the students' eyes to new books last week! She had a "Speed Date a Book" activity during the week of Valentines. The students had about a minute to check out each book. They were also given paper to take notes and titles down so they could go back and find them. Goshen students are lucky to have Mrs. Staheli in the library!

Kindergarten registration, traditionally held in March, will be moved to the summer and combined with grades 1-12. More detailed information regarding summer K-6 registration will be sent out to you before the end of the school year.

With the help from our HOPE Squad, Goshen Elementary participated in KINDNESS WEEK! It was a fun, and kindness, filled week! The week included spirit days, a pledge to be kind, and plenty of smiles! A special THANK YOU to our HOPE Squad, their advisor Mrs. Openshaw, and Mrs. DeGraffenried. They are helping our school to be full of kindness!
We have been amazed with the Valentine box contest! We have some very talented and creative students here at Goshen! Winners will be announced on Valentines Day!
