Spirit wanted to be really sneaky today! Look closely! Where was he hiding this morning? Go take a guess in the office by Friday, and a winner will be picked during announcements tomorrow! GOOD LUCK!
School Community Council Final Report for 2016-2017
Goshen Elementary received $27,263.00 in School Landtrust Money. The money was used for reading technicians, substitutes for teachers to work on curriculum maps, registration fees for Fine Arts Conferences and a Reading Conference. We also purchased Chromebooks for our third grade classrooms.
This year we have an additional $6,000.00 dollars for the 2017-2018 school year.
Red Ribbon Week
Next week (October 23-37) is Red Ribbon Week at Goshen School! We have some fun things planned to celebrate staying Drug and Bully free! Each day there will be a different theme along with a "dress up" day. Feel free to let your students dress up on the following days:
Monday: "Put a cap on drugs"--WEAR A HAT
Tuesday: "Hairs to a drug free life!"--CRAZY HAIR DAY
Wednesday: "Good choices are to be drug and bully free"--WEAR RED
Fall Break
Don't forget that there will be NO SCHOOL this Thursday, October 19th or Friday, October 20th because of Fall Break. Have fun, and be safe!
PTA Halloween Carnival is Coming
The Annual PTA Halloween Carnival will be Friday, October 27th. A spaghetti dinner will be available at 6:00, before the carnival fun starts. Pre-pay tickets will be available for $4.00 a person (or $20 for a family of 5). The pre-paid tickets will be available before school until October 24th. Dinner prices the night of the carnival will be $6 per person. You may also pre-order game wristbands at the PTA's website ( www.goshenutpta.ourschoolpages.com ).
Second Grade Parents and Pastries a Success!
Thanks so much to all of the parents that came and read with our second graders on Monday during our 2nd Grade Parents and Pastries day! Each student had a book read to them, and then they were each given a book of their choice.
Where is Spirt?
We've missed Spirit last week, and because this week is so short, he decided to visit early! Where is he? Stop by the office today and tomorrow and fill out the entry form for a chance to win a prize! Winners will be announced Wednesday before school is out.
