Goshen Elementary is participating in the Road to Success program again this year. Last year the school set a goal to read 1.5 million minutes. They reached this goal by the end of the year. At an assembly recently Mr. Welburn, the principal, had the students thinking he was a magician when he disappeared behind a curtain and showed up on the other side right away.
The students quickly found out that he is a twin. Not only is the principal a double, but the students will double their reading minutes. The school has set a goal to read 3 million minutes this year.
On Thursday, August 20, students at Goshen Elementary took a break from their second day of school to cheer on the Tour of Utah bike riders as they road through Goshen, Utah. The Tour of Utah is a six day bike race consisting of different stages. On Thursday the riders began Stage Two of the race at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi and made their way along the west side of Utah Lake to finish at Mount Nebo.
