Mrs. Norton's Class Writes about Special Gifts

Submitted by krista.openshaw on

After break Mrs. Norton's class talked about personal goals, resolutions and things they could do to help others. Then they took the idea of helping others and turned it into a form of poetry by writing “If I Were A Gift”. Students choose a gift they would like to give and in the first stanza they define their gift. In the second stanza they say how their gift could help someone close to them and in the last stanza they say how their gift could help the world.

Reaction Time Visits Goshen 5th Grade

Submitted by krista.openshaw on

A scientist from Discovery Gateway came and visited with our 5th graders last week. She presented their "Reaction Time" program to them, and taught them about chemistry. The students were able to perform their own experiments in some hands on activities. It was a great review of their science unit on Matter from the first of the year. We would like to thank Discovery Gateway for coming all the way to Goshen to present to our students!

Grandparents and Goodies a huge Success

Last Thursday we had a fun activity after school during our book fair for adults to come with their students to look through the fair and enjoy some stories and a donut with their loved ones. We had a lot of families come out and really appreciate the support from the community. A HUGE thank you goes out to the PTA who runs our book fairs every year and was an integral part of our event.
