At Goshen Elementary the Crystal Apple Award was given to Patsy Barlow for all her hard work and dedication to teaching.  Patsy has been teaching for about 25 years.  Her first teaching assignment was in kindergarten at Franklin Elementary in Provo School District.  Patsy quit teaching when her first son was born, but returned when her children were old enough to go to school.  She is now currently working at Goshen Elementary teaching full day kindergarten.  She finds it rewarding to see how much progress each student can make.

Patsy has always been involved in sports.  Her favorite sport was basketball, where she had a couple of college scholarship offers after high school.  She doesn't get many chances to play basketball now.  She still participates in volleyball and softball on a regular basis and has participated in Huntsman Senior Olympic Games with a softball team the last several years, where they have won a gold and bronze metal.

In her home life, Patsy has been married for 31 years.  She has two children and one grandson, who is the joy of her life.

Patsy loves her job.  She enjoys Goshen Elementary and the chance she has to work with the faculty.  She is an outstanding teacher.
