This year's Parade of States was so good! Students selected a state and gathered research in class. They were then tasked with the assignment to make a shoebox float the represented their stated. Mrs. Openshaw & Mrs. Haines are so proud of their students! All of our students participated (all 43 of them made and turned in a shoebox float) and did a great job! Even though the presentation part of the assignment looked a little bit different than past years, the students were still able to invite someone to come walk through and see what the 5th graders have learned. It was great to see what they had learned about their state and the creativity they used when putting their floats together.
