Good-bye to Familiar Faces at Goshen School

Mr. Jim St. John

Mr. Jim St. John is retiring after spending 25 years as a School Psychologist . He grew up in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from High School, he had experiences working as a lineman on the US and Mexican border, being a bill collector where he was shot at a couple of times in California. At this point he came to the conclusion that there has to be a better way to make a living.

After graduating from BYU, Mr. St. John worked as a School Psychologist in the Utah South Eastern Education System from Price, Mexican Hat to Richfield. He then worked as the Director of Human Services at Dowsen Community College in Glendive, Montana. His family wanted to move back to Utah, so this brought him back, where he has worked for both Alpine and Nebo School Districts.

During Mr. St. Johns retirement, he plans to work with one of his sons restoring old cars, and working on his hay and fruit farm.  He and his wife plan to do a lot of fishing with thier 6 children and their spouses, and most important, their 26 grandchildren. He then said, after all of this, he doesn’t think he will have much free time.
