For the students of Goshen Elementary, lunch is a favorite time of day!  One of the reasons why is because they get to see Debbie Hudson.  She has been the lunch clerk at our school for 18 years, and she received the PEAK award for our school this year.  PEAK awards are given to Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education.  Faculty and staff members are nominated by anyone in the community through the Nebo School District website.  Debbie was nominated by Donna Woodland, Leslie Jacobsen and Mrs. Degraffenreid.  This is what they wrote in her nomination:

“Debbie is dedicated to her job. She demonstrates this in so many ways. Every day she greets the students by name as they go through the lunch line. She loves the kids and has developed a rapport with them. Debbie has collaborated (and donated her own money) with co-workers to create special contests for the students. These include “Who Will Win the Super Bowl?”, Easter Coloring Contests, “Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin”, and “How Many Candies in the Jar?” at Christmas. She uses her own money to meet student’s needs. One year, she purchased a yearbook for a student. Debbie is always optimistic and finds the silver lining in everything. Her laughter is infectious; and if you watch carefully, you will catch her dancing!”

Debbie is such an asset to our school, and we are so lucky to have her!

Congratulations Debbie from all of your friends at Goshen Elementary.
