***Note: Review goal #2 (Math) on this year’s School Improvement Plan and come to our next meeting (Nov. 4th,) prepared to discuss any changes, deletions, or additions that you’d like to make to that
goal for next year!
Minutes from our September 2nd, School Community Council Meeting.
Joanie Burningham chaired the meeting. – Started at 3:35 p.m.
We watched a Trust Land’s video clip on the responsibilities that school community council members have. Everyone was given copies of the following; Goshen School’s - School Improvement Plan, The Laws Governing School Community Councils, a list of S.C.C. members and their e-mail addresses.
We discussed the following during the meeting;
* How the Trust Lands money was spent last year.
* Our school theme for the year, “We are Positively Positive”
* A motion was made by Joanie Burningham and seconded by
Rachel Pipkin to sign our schools, Title One - School Wide
Planning Committee Form and the Parental Involvement Policy.
(The voting was unanimous)
* Future district community council meetings.
* The 7 Habits lesson plans for this year.
Rachel Pipkin made a motion that the meeting be adjourned until Oct. 7th; the motioned was seconded by Janille Osborn. The voting was unanimous to adjourn the meeting at 4:30 p.m.
