Shanni Call was selected by Goshen Elementary to represent the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County at the Annual Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce's Business-Education Partnership Awards breakfast on Friday, November 1, 2019.
Shanni Call was instrumental in helping Goshen Elementary recieve the after school clubs grant that is funding our club program. Shanni oversees all those that make our clubs possible.
This year, the teachers and staff will also be given an Ambassador of the Month reward based on the principle being worked on. For September, Our school secretary Mrs. Oberg and Teacher Technician Mrs. Wride were given the reward for Showing Respect. Some of the things that were said about them were:

October's Staff Ambassadors of the Month were given to our Skills Coach, Mrs. Nielsen and one of our 3rd grade teachers, Ms. Adams for Responsibility. Fellow staff members had the following to say about them:

This month teachers picked their Ambassadors of the Month based on the principle RESPONSIBILITY. All of the students picked have been very responsible for their work and for themselves. The teachers really appreciate the examples they are in their classes.
Halloween at Goshen School is always a fun time! The students participated in a costume parade, fun activities and many had classroom parties! A HUGE thanks goes out to those help with the holiday parties every year. The teachers really appreciate it!
On Tuesday, Goshen students attended a fun assembly put on the jump rope group, The Jumpin' Company. The group consists of childeren the same age as our students who have learned to jump rope competitively. The students (and some teachers) were able to learn the basics of different jump rope moves and participate in the assembly. It was a fun time for everyone! We would like to thank The Jumpin' Company for visiting our school and getting our students excited about jump rope!
The 2nd Grade was excited to have Fireman Blake Jolley come and talk to our students about fire safety. Students learned the importance of fire alarms, having an exit plan and not playing with fire. Mr. Jolley then showed his gear, his truck and then let the students operate the firehose. It was a valuable and memorable activity for all. Thanks Angie and Blake Jolley for supporting our students!
