How the West Was Won Assembly

It was a pleasure to welcome Marcia Knorr to Goshen School.  She presented an assembly called,  "How the West Was Won" for the students and teachers. Through narration and song, she taught us how music played an important part in the history and development of our country.  Using our imaginations we crossed the wild prairies, panned for gold, built a railroad, fought in the Civil War and even shared song and music from an old fashioned barn dance.  The assembly was sponsored by ARTS, Inc. and the Salt Lake County Zoo Arts and the Parks.

A fun Family Math Night was held at our school. Students and parents spent time in classes learning and using the new online math programs that are now available. There were Math Baskets given away in drawings for each grade level and refreshments were provided. If you would like to use the math resources, just click on the Math Resources box on the Goshen School website.  www.goshen.nebo.edu
