K9's Help!

The closing assembly welcomed two K9's to demonstrate how police dogs help save lives. Dogs are more agile and are less fearful than humans. There are many types of dogs used in police work. Some are used for their sniffing ability, some have incredible jaw strength, and they all love to protect their human. It was nice to learn not only how we can stay safe this week but also learn about our community helpers.

Deputy Tindle demonstrates the importance of wearing a seatbelt when riding in a car. Even when the car is going very slow, the whiplash upon impact is serious. The students enjoyed the simulation. Thanks for another important lesson this week!
