Fourth graders at Goshen learn about Utah history

During a presentation at Goshen Elementary, fourth graders learned a little bit about some of the Indian tribes that once lived in Utah.  They learned some history and were excited to know that the presenters were real Indians.  Students saw some of the clothing and things that were used by the Native American tribes.  Students are now excited to learn more about the history of Utah. Pictured are the students learning hand signs that were used to help the tribes communicate with one another.

Goshen's October Citizens of the Month

Goshen Elementary's citizens of the month for October were Delaney Steele, Keelee Bingham, Steven Ward, Hannah Hazelet, Melody Kenison, Audrey Peterson, Oscar Carreno, Alyssa Zohner, Layne Shepherd, Tate Strasburg, Weston Thomas, Gentry Conklin, Kayden Walters, Joseline Macedo, Josie Penrod, Jose Gomez, Blake Bagley, Dawsen Tew, Kennedy Cowan, and Sydney Hacking.  These students were chosen by their teachers for showing October's theme of honesty.

Road to Success Reading Awards given at Goshen!

Keelee Bingham, of Elberta who is a kindergarten student at Goshen Elementary School, had her name drawn out of a box containing names of all of the students who have been reading this last quarter at school. Keelee is pictured with her teacher, Mrs. Lori Staheli, along with her prize: a color TV and VCR. Also winning a prize, but is not pictured, was Devin Johnson, of Genola who is a fifth grade student in Mr. Travis Proctor's class, who won a gift certificate for a new bicycle from WalMart.
